As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

More Interested in the "Side Shows"... Saturday, August 12

Best thing about History Con for me was meeting numerous entrepreneurs who have launched their own little shops and were selling their product/service at the expo.  I met a young artist who for just a few bucks draws you into a cartoon character.  It's not a caricature like one would expect, she makes you look like a superhero.  I really wanted to get her to draw me but I discovered her right as I was leaving.

Another really impressive entrepreneur I met was this young lady who launched her own metal jewelry company though I should note she makes more than just jewelry.  She uses a kind of welding metal to create this one of a kind, custom pieces, like rings, bookmarks and keychains.  She made me a bracelet, an Empowered bracelet, and I totally love it.
