As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Stay Humble, Sit Down... and Eat Pancakes

This happened today... I indulged in some pancakes though I should note that I did have quite the hike trying to find them.  There's no real diners in Makati and the first Pancake House we searched out today was actually closed.  The city empties out on the weekends.
My excuse for eating pancakes is because I'm coming off a physically very hard week.  I'm sporting a bit of a messed up central nervous system and exhausted adrenaline glands thanks to prolonged preworkout sups usage.  But the irony of this poster, wow.  It's thinking like this that is going to keep my clubhouse in business and booming.
I was texted this tonight after my business meeting.
Stay humble, sit down... start small and grow big.
I was humbled tonight but happy also.  After my meeting I returned home to this popping up on my cellphone -- one of my Empowered sisters incorporating some of the exercises I taught her into her own training.  Love it!!!
