As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

21 Day Challenge... Saturday, September 2

It's a new month, it's September, so I posted a monthly challenge to the Empowered Sisters -- 21 days of no junk food.  Although I wouldn't normally consider bread as junk food and I'd like to acknowledge that there are many healthy alternatives to so-called junk food, the challenge is more so 21 days of no processed food.

No chips.
No chocolate.
No fast food.
No muffins.
No cakes.
No doughnuts.
No pastries.
No candies.
No cookies.
No biscuits.
No white bread.

No chips... no problem, but does this include nachos?!  I think so.  I love nachos and salsa!
No chocolate... not really a problem.  Sometimes I treat myself to a snack-size chocolate.
No fast food... can't remember the last time I actually act fast food.
No muffins... no muffin, no problem.
No cakes... I have no birthdays coming up so that's quite okay with me.
No doughnuts... doughnuts are right up there with muffins, not interested.
No pastries... hmmmm... I love bread but I'm more into pita bread and that's not a pastry.
No candies... I don't have a sweet tooth so no problem.
No cookies... problem.  Usually once or twice a week I treat myself to a cookie after lunch.
No biscuits... who eats biscuits these days beyond grannies?!
No white bread... I ate some this week but only because the restaurant had no whole wheat bread.
