As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Party Animals

Arrived at tonight's event and what should greet me but a beautiful garraffi luring over the crowd.
There it stood, standing behind the bar, in all it's beauty.  It was pretty awesome.
The event was the 5th anniversary party for Don Papa Rum, a local rum made in the Philippines.

And the garaffi wasn't the only animal there.  I spotted an adorable little zebra in the second room and then a massive polar bear in the corner of another.  They had all been stuff which freaked me out a bit but I must admit it was still pretty awesome to see as them in true form.
There were other animals too,.. party animals.  The place was packed and the vibe was awesome.
One of the highlights of the event for me was the mask-making table. I got to pick out a mask from a selection of different ones and then pick out what I want it decorated with and how so.
My fellow Torontonian had invited me to this event, it was his event, and when a friend from the 6ix invites you, you go... and apparently you go home with a mask too.  I like it.
