As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Designing Empowered's Gloves

With my little sidekick all cuddled up on my lap, today I got to work on
designing my boxing glove for Empowered Clubhouse.
This was the original sample that my potential supplier in Pakistan sent me.
I had asked for simply a sample glove because I wanted to see and test out the quality of his gloves but he went well up and beyond what I expected.   He played around with our clubhouse logo and printing it not only on the glove but with making a patch.
I'm not a fan of the patch but I am definitely a fan of him taking the initiative.
"But it's just a glove",.... ya, don't ever say that to me unless you want me to take
this glove and hit it with you.  Slayed away at this glove for a very good chunk of my day.
At exactly 11:01pm I decided enough was enough.
I'm still not done it, still playing around with the lettering to be printed on it, but I like it.
