As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Trying to Be "Christmasy"

I love the Philippines and it's rainy days but with Christmas just around the corner it'd be nice to replace those beautiful palm trees with pine trees and the rain for some snow.  I tried to push myself into the Christmas spirit today by picking up some Christmas gifts.  First on my list, pizza for the coaches at Elite.
Balboa, of course, was on my list of Christmas gifts to get.  They even wrapped it for him, sweet.
No bootcamp today on account of the holiday so in between getting those presents
and hitting the gym, I got to lounge with Balboa for a bit.
Last workout before the boxing club closes for the Christmas holiday.
It's only closed for 2 days but in my world that may as well be 2 years.
I didn't get to see Coach Bogs and give him his card so I'll have to wait till next week now.
