As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Meetings of Business and Pleasure Nature

I like to start my week's off with a good meeting.  It gets me pumped for the rest of the week.
Today's morning meeting was at Kerry Sports.
Kerry Sports is an upscale training facility that's gorgeous.
Their front area cafe is what first greets you when you arrive.
What caught me was the basketball court and the cut-out in the floor that allows you to look below.
And then I spotted their "Boxing Masters" -- a target practice piece of equipment with numbered pads.
I didn't take pictures of the rest of Kerry Sports, I was too busy looking in awe at it all.
They actually have an outdoor pool with a patio sitting area and a mini outdoor cafe.
It's so incredibly impressive, wow.

From one meeting to the next and then into training gear for my weekly Power Park Workout series.
Ran into these two friendly souls today.  We've met before.  Two boxers who are so incredibly sweet and are as sweet as they are well behaved.  Their owner is a male pro athlete here in the Philippines.
And speaking of pro athletes... arrived at the Philippine Army Gym for boxing and who should be calling my name from across the court but Amanda!  She's a pro volleyball player and is currently contending in the Superbods contest.  She's got my vote!!!
At midnight the Patch Design Contest for Empowered officially ended.
I tallied up all the votes and this was the winner.
The next thing to do was then produce a digital version of the winning design for my glove manufacturer in Pakistan.  Now we have our patch design and glove design, nice.  Now to wait for my guy in Pakistan to make them and then send them to us.  I'm super excited about them!!!
