As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

A Break in Routine, if Only for a Night

Went to grab my boxing gear out on my balcony and screamed... a cockroach!!!
I hate them. Sorry, I'm not sorry. They're like the size of small animals here; they're mega-big bugs.
And if someone doesn't remove it I'll be late for boxing!!!
Discouraged but determined to keep my focus in check.
Running out of patience waiting to hear if my fight is a go or not.
I want to justify the bruised knuckles, blistered feet and sore muscles.  I want to fight.
Tonight I had a most unexpected night -- a night out!!!
And not just a night out but this -- VIP to the Bruno Mars after party.
The only picture I took with some of my friends at Bruno's after party. There were about a dozen of us, all laughing and dancing away, way past my bedtime. My feet hurt even more now and morning sparring is going to be rough but it was SO GREAT to disconnect and get out for a good time, away from training!!!
