As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

A Soaked-to-the-Core Wet Kind of Tuesday

Exhausted but happy, hanging out ringside with the guys.  Much respect to them all here at Insider for not only pushing me to better myself as a fighter but for inspiring me with just how hard they train.
Coach RP, tough but such a sweetie.  I did padwork with him late last week and
I'm hoping this week to do some strength and conditioning with him.
A rare shot of my coach with an actual shirt on.  It's on him but not "on" him -- it's just draped on.
I can't blame the guys for training here half naked though.  It is the Philippines and damn is it hot here.
After my long walk home from training, I was greeted by this -- a strong man competition on High Street.  I don't know how heavy those concrete balls were that the men were lifting up but wow, you want to talk about massive men.  I have one question though, what does a guy that size eat?!
From boxing in the morning to functional weight training and conditioning in the evening.
My entire day I was either covered in sweat and/or soaked from the rain.
