As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea on February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I went from being some random foreign girl to taking on labels I never imagined – university professor, film extra, professional boxer, reality TV star, CEO of my own girls-only fitness company (Flipside Fitness), CEO of my own boxing club (Hulk's Club, formerly known as Hulk's Boxing), and now I'm launching my 3rd business -- Empowered Clubhouse.

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again. This time it was for the Philippines. That's where I am now, living in the land of the happy people. The struggles are real and the struggles are many but I'm living life on my terms, I'm calling the shots, and I'm doing what I love. Life is an amazing adventure and this is my story of yesterday.

Back to the Grind

First rule of fitness is never miss a Monday, no matter what happened on Sunday.

Back grinding away at the boxing club.  Being pushed on padwork and
exhausted on heavy bag work... but I love it!
My POV as I sat at the end of boxing.  All gym nasty, sitting in my own pool of sweat,
with my new socks on and sporting my own name -- Empowered.
Starting tomorrow evening, this will be the location for a very sweaty, but very fun BoxHIIT Camp,
powered by Empowered and coached by yours truly.  Tonight I stopped by to snap some pictures.
I'm most excited about the use of these.  They'll be my go-to prop for the functional weight training part of the camp.  The ladies will never look at these seats the same after!
It's a pretty badass rooftop, I like it a lot, but it's an even more badass place to train.
The Refined isn't actually open tonight but they were suppose to have workers in to fix their fridge so
Skittles was hanging out there.  I brought Balboa along and he sat with me while I worked
on Empowered at the bar.
