Last week three of my personal training clients had birthdays so this week is "recovery" week for them which, for me, means a lot of training cancellations. I'm not too concerned about it because I know my ladies train hard and they're dedicated. They can have their birthday fun and so they should, but next week is going to be a bit rough for them to come back to training.
Talking about coming back to training, I'm almost done my two week mandatory break from boxing. I was told not to box while my new hand tattoo heals. The nastiness of the hand wraps plus their constant rubbing on my skin would do nothing but bad things to my hand's recovery, hence the time off. I'm having to get my tattoo touched up though because of the fact that it's on the back of my hand, a body part with limited muscle and fat for the ink to really adhere to. Looks like I'll have to take more time off training when I do get it touched up but for now that can wait. Am itching to get back into the ring with boxing.
I didn't have any of my clients today because of it being birthday week and I didn't have any boxing today because of it being week two of my tattoo recovery, so my nose was in my business books all day. I had a meeting in the afternoon with one of my design team members regarding our fundraiser items and Slay line. We had to go over the final numbers for the first batch order of Lil' Sista Hoodies and Empowered Caps -- the fundraising items for the Lil' Sistas Project. We also had to go over the design details of our next two items I'm looking to launch. I have a sleeveless hoodie and a mesh tank top coming soon. Both items have lines from the Empowered Manifesto so there is a sequence to follow with what can be launched first. The sleeveless hoodie actually has two designs -- one for women and another specifically for men.
I have two different manufacturers that are working with me to create Slay but the problem right now seems to be with getting the exact material I want. The hunt continues.
