As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Starting Strong... Saturday, November 10

Morning breakfast out.
Morning coaching.
Morning rugby.
Afternoon boxing.
...evening crash.

It was an exceptionally busy Saturday and it wouldn't have been busier if I knew I was able to participate in today's rugby tournament.  I don't care for busier but I do care to play rugby.  I had crashed on Thursday, right before rugby practice started, so I was a no go, no show.  I didn't hear anything from anyone regarding today's game so I figured I wasn't allowed to play because I had miss the last practice before the game.

I arrived to cheer them on.

They said they were relieved to see me but where were my cleats and shorts.

It's my fault really, I shouldn't have assumed, I should have asked.

I stuck around to watch them play and it was pretty cool.  They had three games to play today and I watched the first one.  With ten seconds left to the game, our captain, flew with the ball and scored the winning point that broke the tie.  It was pretty epic.

Next weekend there's an out-of-town tournament and I'll be playing with the team.  That means I have about a week to Google the hell out of touch rugby and figure out the rules.  I don't want to be the weakest link on the team but I think it's safe to say I'm the greenest player on the field.  I don't want them regretting letting me be on their team.

Lady Mavericks, today they won 2 out of their 3 games... wicked!!!
