I left Kerry Sports last night at 110.8lbs and woke up at 109.4lbs, 2.4lbs short of my official fight weight requirement. So on went the pants, the top, the sweater, the sauna suit jacket, the sauna suit pants, and on went the treadmill.
Thirty minutes into it, I was so beyond exhausted, my cotton mouth was bothering me so much, and I became this cranky, hangry girl that wasn't even sweating despite all the layers.
This wasn't working.
Ended up returning to Kerry Sports were I again did my rounds of sauna room and jacuzzi. It was brutal because not only was my body way beyond exhausted but I was so mentally fried and I wanted to give up. But to have come so far, to have lost over 4lbs last night, to have waited two years for a fight, and it all finally to be here but separated by 2.4lbs... wow. I was not going to give up.
I sat in that sauna room and shadow boxed with a towel wrapped around my legs and another one draped over my upper body. I was going to do this. I hadn't basically put myself through this much hell just to stop right before the finish line.
Hell no!!!
After almost 2 hours, I finally got down to 108.2lbs.
I showered, I dried myself off, and then I put my fight weigh-in clothes on -- a sports bra and undies.
Off I then went to the Games and Amusement Board (GAB) in Makati for weigh-in.
I arrived around 10:33am, late but kind of purposely late, weighed in and then was allowed to drink and eat. Down went the water mixed with petilyte and down went the cup of sliced up fruit. I tell you, that chopped up pineapple tasted like the best thing I had ever eaten in my life, seriously, as did the petilyte. Tasting the petilyte after however, it wasn't so tasty but I think at that point anything would have tasted pure delish.
I downed 3 liters of mixed water, then drank a banana milk, had 4 glasses of water over Korean chicken soup, and still didn't have to pee. Okay, so perhaps that was way too much information but I was just that dehydrated.
