As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Good people, good laughs, good fun.... good times!!! Posted by Picasa

Last night training at the Fitness Club...:( Posted by Picasa

Highlights of My Day...Friday September 30

1. U.K. Teacher tells me 5mins before class that I'm leading gym class... I was totally not impressed.
2. Convinced U.K. to lead the stretching part of gym class but ended up taking over the role cause she had no idea what she was doing. Since public school I've never liked partner-work!
3. Sat in the staff room and watched Mr. Lee shoot Dave from 1 foot away with a student's toy pellet gun... that's got to hurt!!! He didn't know it was loaded but who points a gun at anyone?!
4. Was rough playing with my afternoon elementary Peace class and John hit me with my "magic pointer" (retrackable metal stick). He hit me so hard it snapped on my shoulder.
5. Gave a big test to Leo and Peace elementary classes and it felt so good to be on the giving end of the test. After all, it says in the Bible, "it is better to give than recieve" and boy where they right!
6. Had my last training sesson at my gym and so I treated myself to a hard shoulder workout. Mind you, spent most of the time joking around joking around with Young Un.
7. Ran into the gym's owner and by the look on my face he knew I wasn't impressed with his decision to close the gym. Felt bad for him though cause he must know he's the MOST unpopular or liked man around Cheonan. Left the gym all teary eyed.
8. Went out for good times with some of the people from the gym..... learned Mr. Park and Mrs. Park's full Korean names (Park Suk, Yu Young Oh) and learned that Korean wives do not like Tasha or me.... long story here involving a Korean bodybuilder's wife trying to track him down and then meeting us!
9. After filling our bellies with some yummies, we decided to hit a karokee room. Mr. Park's bodybuilder friend split his pants open and it only got more fun from there. Busted a move with my dance moves and tamberine.
10. Came home super late to Daewoo and a house full of swredded newspaper.... great.

QUESTION OF THE DAY...
Are you a jealous person?

Our kinder trip to the Postal Museum. For an activity we had them write and then mail a letter to their parents.
Sorry mom, they wouldn't send my letter to Canada for me!Posted by Picasa

From top left to bottom left... Kevin, John, Jinny, and my new Korean husband Daniel. Posted by Picasa

Highlights of My Day...Thursday September 29

1. Took all the kindergartens to the Postal Museum to show them "snail mail"... will these students ever use regular mail? Um,...probably not... it's called EMAIL!!!
2. Murphy's law.... wore my brand spanking new white pants and what happens, Wisdom Jinny spills some grape juice right on them. Thankfully it mostly came out after I practically bathed myself in the public bathroom sink.
3. Wisdom John was sick today at the start of our trip but at lunch he puked up EVERYTHING he ate.... for the past two days, or so it looked like! Yuck! Took him to the bathroom to wash him down and almost went crazy on two ladies who refused to move so he could puke in the sink (stalls were occupied). So he stood there and puked again on himself.
4. Jules called John's mom to ask her why she sent her sick son to school and she responded with, "He says he promised Amy Teacher he would be her partner on the field trip".
5. Talk about big time bonus.... found out Monday is a holiday in Korea. It will be Foundation Day.
6. Co-worker Steve (Korean) discovered and got educated about anti-perspirant today courtesy of Dave. Apparently Koreans don't wear anti-perspirant/deodorant and yet I've never really smelt a sweaty Korean, not even at the gym!
7. Checked out the gym Cara Cara and thank goodness, there is hope beyond my current gym. It's a good size but it'll never replace my gym!
8. Had dinner with Young Un and his friend who's name sounded exactly like my dog's, Daewoo. He tried so hard to impress me with his English but ended up making me blush with his compliments.
9. When I was leaving training five drunk men from the Leader's Club (6th floor) got off the elevator thinking the gym (5th floor) was the first floor. Thought it was funny to see them stumble around and try to make conversation with me....until one pushed Woo.
10. Watched at sweet Woo and joker Young Un turned into tough Korean guys.... Woo pushed one of the men and he went flying onto the elevator floor. Apart of me was wishing I'd be "tagged" in but instead I stood there cheering my boys on.

QUESTION OF THE DAY...
What is your bad habit?

QUOTE OF THE DAY...
Don't come home married!

Come meet Dream class!!! Posted by Picasa

...more Dream class students! Posted by Picasa

...here's the rest of Dream class! Posted by Picasa

Highlights of My Day...Wednesday September 28

1. Woke up and made myself a breakfast for champions.... eggs, yogurt with cereal, toast, milk, and sausages.
2. Nominated Daewoo for the most stinkest bum!
3. The drama continues with Wisdom Johnny and his inconsistant stories about Charles kicking him. Apparently now both mothers have been 'heckling' each other outside of school.
4. Got a divorce from my supposed husband, kindergarten Peace class Terry. He wouldn't listen to me during storytime class and so I publicly yelled, "I want a divorce!"
5. Five minutes after Terry and my divorce, I wedded to Peace class Daniel. Daniel agreed to marry me on the bases that we will continue to fight in the morning. (Should tell you here that this 6yr old boy hides and then tries to attack me in the morning....EVERYDAY!!!)
6. Finally got my camera back and went camera-happy with Dream class.... check out the pics.
7. Went on the hunt for a new gym considering my one is closing on Friday. Jules was right, my current gym is huge considering the two competing "shoe boxes" I found. Finding a free spot on the floor to stand and do weights is a work-out in itself at these places!!!
8. Ventured out to Yawoori mall and the bus terminal to exchange my pants and get refunded for my unused bus ticket (from Saturday). Felt like a bank robber handing the clerk the note Jules had wrote at school explaining the situation. She didn't hold her hands up and give me all her money though, just my 20,100 won.
9. Rented a Korean movie called "Old Boys" and forgot to ask for the one with sub-titles. Didn't really matter though cause after the scene where he pulled the dude's teeth out with a hammer I was done with it!!!
10. Despite the countdown continuing towards my gym's closure, took the night off training due to my disappointing search for a new gym.

Who's this starving artist?....it's Robbie but he ain't starving. He's got the skills to pay the bills. Posted by Picasa

Highlights of My Day...Tuesday September 27

1. Woke up early to dye my hair blacker than black..... blacker than most Korean's black hair!!! I love it.
2. Went into work later than usual just cause apparently it's accepted.
3. Oh the drama of the kindergarten students' moms. Today's episode consisted of Wisdom Johnny's mom complaining that Wisdom Charles kicks Johnny. First of all, Charles kicks like a girl and second of all, Johnny claims Charles kicks him while they're on the bus. BUT... they take separate buses. Learn your facts mom .... your son is a creative but bad storyteller.
4. Taught Dream class how to tell time and found it so interesting how important of a skill they think this is.... I still have trouble reading the clock!
5. Walked out of SLP school with the ladies at the front desk wondering where I was going at 4pm. I was going home, 2hrs early just because I work hard and deserve to once and awhile.
6. Went exploring on the mountain with Daewoo and realized that although he's definitely not the smartest of dogs, he is one of the strongest. At 2 1/2 months old I've got him going on 20min jogs!
7. Canceled my trip out to Seoul (boxing club) to have dinner with Young Un. Realizing that after this week our supper gatherings are over made me kind of sad.
8. My brother Robbie is in from New York and I realized that this year I won't see him.... kind of hit home that this year I'm totally out of the loop in terms of being there for my family, and friends. Uneasy feeling but I'll have to accept it.
9. Felt bad for Daewoo cause his daytime playmate (Paulo) is gone and so I took him outside after training to play with him. Was having running races with Daewoo in the back alley and when I picked him up he got all excited and so he fell. His head hit the ground, he laid there crying and I turned and puked. IT WAS AWFUL... we both sat there crying. He's okay now but now I know what being a mother is somewhat like.
10. Laid in bed for some time watching Daewoo and still freaking out over our little accident. He's no longer just a little dog to me and I realized this tonight.

Grizzly B is back! Posted by Picasa

Highlights of My Day...Monday September 26

1. Thought it the funniest thing to see Wisdom class Johnny struggle constantly with his pants and then during our circle time his pants dropped right to the floor. He could have cared less but it was the funniest thing I've seen in awhile!!!
2. Well Jimmy didn't cry in class today, Patty did and it's extremely frustrating to see four adults caterer to her like she's a baby and then wonder why so many of the children here are spoiled rotten!
3. Black Monday didn't turn out so black cause Glory class was actually very good for me today. Mind you, it took me to shock them by eating two of Ted's stickers for them to realize I'm not joking about taking their stickers. I found it rather amusing but I think it kind of freaked them out.
4. Had a great training session and trained with the big boys..... Minsoo and Mr. Park.
5. The sad and inevitable countdown is on until my current gym closes..... Friday will be the last day. Still on the look out for a replacement gym, Mr. Park is helping me out with this though.
6. Had the most interesting run-in with a Korean man that supposedly has been on the look out for me down since our first run-in at the gym entrance (well over a month ago). Was totally thrown off at first until I remembered what our first conversation was about.... he's a big name in boxing here apparently.
7. Agreed to venture out to Seoul tomorrow to check out Mr. Kim's boxing gym.
8. Made the official decision to put off bodybuilding and return to my boxing training.
9. Totally confused by the local movie rental shop.... it costs 50 cents CDN to rent the average movie here but yet tonight it cost me $1.50 CDN and then they charged me an additional $1.50 CDN when I realized there are two videos tapes required for the full movie... how does this work?!
10. Rented "Million Dollar Baby", despite already watching it in Canada, and totally got pumped again about boxing..... you better watch out Egerton, I'm back!!!

QUESTION OF THE DAY...
What is one of your passions in life?

QUOTE OF THE DAY...

Me before the dramatic switch to the dark hair.... I prefer the black! Posted by Picasa

Highlights of My Day...Sunday September 25

1. Woke up super late but it felt SO good!
2. Gave Daewoo the whole spa treatment.... bath, comb, cut his nails, and even trimmed his hair.
3. Watched in horror as Daewoo jumped in practically the ONLY puddle in the road. Now you'd never know that he was just washed.
4. Relaxed to a rented movie but got all sad by the depressing story line and so I went and rented another movie to cheer myself up.
5. Second movie was just as sad as the first, if not worse!
6. Made myself the world's largest tuna sandwich, fell asleep by accident and woke up to NO sandwich! Daewoo!!!
7. Strict diet starts up again on Monday and so today is cheat day.... treated myself to good old macaroni and cheese. Now I'm down to two boxes left in my secret stash!
8. Spent a good part of my day updating my blog.... wasn't a lot of fun let me tell ya!
9. First official day without Paulo.
10. Mopped my floor with this mop I found in the public laundry room but now my floor has this "interesting" film-like coating on it, nasty!

QUESTION OF THE DAY...
What is your crutch food? (ie. for me it's ice cream)

QUOTE OF THE DAY...

If ice cream was a man, I'd already be married to him.

Another one of my Korean chingoos! Posted by Picasa

Highlights of My Day...Saturday September 24

1. Woke up extra early so that Paulo and I wouldn't miss his bus to the airport and what happened....missed it by 10mins!!!
2. Our simple and inexpensive route to Incheon Airport turned into an expensive rat-race against the time.
3. Watched Paulo board the plane and thought I was okay until I got on the bus and realized that he may never sit beside me again in Korea.
4. Ventured back to training today and got word that I've got money coming my way cause of my membership and the gym closing.
5. What started out as a simple night out downtown with Kat turned into a huge and long night filled with foreigners and lots of Koreans!
6. Thought I'd have a Je-Min free night until one of his friends recognized me and called him out. Purposely wrote my cell number on a piece of paper and put it on the table for him to see, just to egg him on. He was definitely curious as to who it was for and this started a long conversation about him and I being JUST friends... he wasn't impressed.
7. Spent the evening trying to dodge this white dude who wanted me to punch everyone and anyone for the sake of showing off my boxing skills. And the only reason why I didn't punch him was cause that was exactly what he wanted. My original claim on white dudes in Korea still stays true, it's so sad too!
8. Ran into the Irish idiot and was corrected, he's a Scottish idiot. I'm always surprised at the things and actions of this guy.... he's got no limits to his stupidity!
9. While waiting outside Ryan's house, thought it said that Paulo's first night away from Korea just so happens to be the most clear night! I looked up and saw so many stars, it was incredible.
10. Went cursing around Cheonan on the back of Ryan's scooter at 5:30 am.

Paulo's on top of the World Posted by Picasa

Highlights of My Day...Friday September 23

1. Random early morning calls from Je Min started up again today.... first call was at 3am!
2. Woke up to my last day with Paulo in Korea.
3. Not looking to my faithful side-kick (Paulo) leaving but am looking forward to getting back to my training and strict diet.
4. Rushed off to work and realized five minutes into arriving at school that my pants had this unusual smell to them. It wasn't until much later that I realized they must have been sprayed by Daewoo or something along that lines.... nasty!!!
5. My Wisdom class worked so hard this week at earning their Friday special treat at snack time and what did I do.... I forgot it! I felt so bad but we'll have it on Monday.
6. Had Paulo join my Dream class for a class period and thought it so cool how much certain students have warmed up to him... especially Patty!
7. Paulo picked me up from school and I was a bit embarrassed and surprised at who and how his leaving was addressed (and his stay here too for that matter).
8. Left work with no intentions of returning but then stepped back and told myself that my job is to teach children and not to teach the "others".... I'm not interested in their politics cause I'm a teacher and not a politician.
9. Went out for dinner with Paulo to the same place with went with Louis on Wednesday, the patio restaurant. My buddy there was ALL smile when he saw me walk in, I guess this means I'm somewhat of a regular now.
10. Thought it amusing to see four waitresses argue over who'd wait on our table. They all ended up serving us and were totally checking out Paulo which was fine with me. The way I look at it, having the waitresses favor Paulo means our food gets out to us faster, but my buddy is the meat cutter and so I have the upper hand here cause it means we get better meat! Beat that Paulo!

Pimped out Korean truck....the Rhino! Posted by Picasa

Highlights of My Day...Thursday September 22

1. Started my day off with a very disappointing phone call to Canada with a certain someone I thought I could rely on. Promised myself I wouldn't let him wreak my day or would I ever do this to someone else.
2. Had a painful tooth day.... it didn't help that Paulo poked at it. I really have to look into getting a dentist.
3. Brought Daewoo to school for Betty and Michelle in my elementary Glory class. Michelle told me that she wanted to give my dog to her mom cause her mom loves dogs. Betty told me she'd give it to her grandpa because he likes to eat dog.....ouch!
4. Text messages from Je Min started up again today.
5. Drama continues for the search of the perfect wedding guest list.....oh the stress!
6. Seriously believe that everything was on my nerves today. It was just one of those "leave me alone" days.
7. Day three of my training vacation and totally am feeling lazy.
8. Started to set aside things for Paulo to take back to Canada and got a bit teary-eyed. Looks like I do have a heart after all, well at least a small one.
9. Failed at my attempt to finally quit coffee..... drank a record high of three coffees today, not good.
10. Decided that a night in with Paulo would solve my rough day. We had dinner out but sat back with two movies and called it a night..... it was perfect.

QUESTION OF THE DAY...
Do you believe in charma?

My little Korean neighbor...the chicken boy. His father runs the chicken resturant beside my apartment. Posted by Picasa

Highlights of My Day...Wednesday September 21

1. Daewoo came to school today to visit my kindergartens and they totally adored him. The best was watching Minseo (Dream class) shake as she tried to give Daewoo a treat.
2. Received sad news.... my gym where I train in Korea will be closing at the end of next week!
3. Seriously considering enrolling Paulo into English classes. Told him to go buy juice for my class and specifically said "no grape juice and make sure it's a twist off lid." So what did he get, grape juice with no twist off lid.
4. Scored the key to Patricia's old place and so Louis, Paulo and me totally had a field day. I scored numerous things but question what the heck I'm going to do with the iron I took. I haven't ironed in 6 years!
5. Scored a TV with a built in VCR.... see some good came out of Patricia being here, unfortunately it came with her leaving.
6. Went back for more stuff and leaving Patricia's old place I almost felt sad for her..... almost.
7. Went out for supper with Louis and Paulo. A simple meal out turned into a whole evening affair, it's all good!
8. Was totally loved by one of the main workers at the restaurant but was thrown off guard when he gave me a good shot to the ribs. I suppose this means we're all buddy-buddy now.
9. Ate like a champ at dinner time and spent the evening trying to recuperate from the feast.
10. Cuddled up with Paulo to watch a movie and ended the movie with Daewoo cuddling up with me cause Paulo totally crashed. So much for a cute movie date!

My dream house on Campbell Avenue in Toronto Posted by Picasa

Highlights of My Day...Tuesday September 20

1. Woke up to Daewoo eating the trimming off my wall.... this dog is not normal!
2. Did a random call to my parents in Canada and my dad was so shocked, it was great.
3. Called my best friend Andi in Canada and had "girl talk" for about an hour.... didn't realize how much a miss a good English conversation.
4. Did some real estate browsing online with Paulo and totally fell in love with this one house!
5. Made the big decision to take the week off training cause Paulo is leaving on Saturday.
6. Still haven't made a sound effort to quit coffee.
7. Got stuck empty handed (no toilet paper) in the girl's bathroom and had to wait a little over 5mins to be rescued by one of my kindergarten students. She had realized I hadn't returned to the classroom and went looking for me.
8. Went to use my floppy disks at school only to find out that the floppy drive on the computer is just a hole. Now I'm out the disk and patience!
9. Got treated out to dinner by Paulo... oh ya, sounds nice until you realize it's with my money!
10. Did some more wedding planning. Tonight's topic: party favors.

Nice hat Pilo! Posted by Picasa

Highlights of My Day...Monday September 19

1. Daewoo got voted as one of the cutest small dogs on an online pet-post site.
2. Went online to check the status of U of T and York's applications and freaked out when I found out that they're DUE December 1st.... I thought they were coming out that day, opps.
3. Couldn't think straight and so I had a mini panic attack when I thought I had only a month to gather all my application info.....talk about relief when I realized I've got two months.
4. Went grocery shopping with Pilo (Paulo Pilo) but I hope he knows I can't cook any of the food we bought!
5. Actually surprised Pilo, and myself, with cooking lunch. Lunch for today consisted of instant noodles mixed with broccoli soup and bread. I didn't tell him all the ingredients were instant, I'll let him believe I actually cooked it as opposed to simply opening the packages and stirring it together!
6. Bought glade plug-ins to smother the smell of Daewoo's "duties" and now I don't know what I prefer.... set the perfume fan level to strong and it was like a gas bomb. Found myself choking on the overwhelming fumes!

7. I'm on a roll.... cooked rice tonight. See, I can cook more than just macaroni and cheese! There is hope for me yet.
8. Everyday I find myself correcting Paulo's English. Today's English language lesson focused on the following sentence, "I don't have nothing".
9. Only one random call from Je Min and what's the first thing that came out of his mouth, "Is boyfriend yes there?" What a guy!
10. Realized that it's been almost exactly a year since I first met Paulo Pilo and now he's my fiancee!

My homeboy Mark from Toronto...you can catch him in "Cinderella Man" Posted by Picasa

Highlights of My Day...Sunday September 18

1. Woke up to Daewoo being a terrible two....2 month baby that is!
2. Went out for a dinner date with the hottest Porkchop... Mr. Pilo! And I'm not talking about the hottest Porkchop in Korea either cause he's probably the ONLY!
3. First person I ran into right after getting out of the taxi downtown Cheonan was Je Min.... either he didn't see me or he pretended not to see me cause I was with Paulo. Either way, he looked homely and so I didn't feel comfortable approaching him.
4. And to think I use to think that all Koreans looked the same....walking around Yawoori I saw a lot of random Indian guys and was convinced every one of them was that one rude one I had a bad run-in with Louise a few weeks ago.
5. Cruised around downtown Cheonan with Pilo and realized that we are probably the only ones that understood the English songs blasting from all the shops.... unless they like Eminem's profound lyrics.
6. Most expensive part of my day, shilling out $15,000 won ($16 CDN) for jelly belly candies that are for sure to only end in a stomach ache.
7. Ventured out to the Yawoori Mall to watch my Canadian boys (Egerton Marcus, Troy Amos-Ross, and Mark Simmons) on the big screen in the movie "Cinderella Man".
8. I for sure had to be the loudest movie watcher in that theater as I cheered on my Canadian boys and yelled out "punch him!"
9. As all the movie goers filed out of the theater, I stood there alone awaiting my boys' names in the credits... I was so happy and so proud of them. Left the theater still cheering them on!
10. Meet Korea's nicest taxi driver who gave me a lecture in Korean about wasting my money.... gave him wrong directions.

QUESTION OF THE DAY...
Did you answer my new poll question on my blog?

The search continues to find out what breed of dog Daewoo is. Posted by Picasa

Highlights of My Day...Saturday September 17

1. Woke up at 6:09am and then again at 6:28am to Je Min calling me at another randomly late hour. What is this guy thinking?!... Is he even thinking?
2. Went out for lunch with Paulo and Tasha but the only one that really ate was Paulo. Tasha ate some but ended up "leaving it" at the curbside..... yuck!
3. All plans for today were canceled due to the holiday hours and the terrental rain down-pour we got ALL day and ALL night.
4. Ventured out once to the store and came back looking like I got thrown into the lake.... umbrella broke!
5. It's official.... Daewoo has learned two tricks: sit and shake paw. We won't mention how many treats it took to get him to learn this though.
6. Paulo thought it funny to say "you're losing it like Patricia" but he didn't think it too funny when I responded by chasing him down with the water gun.... like I do to Daewoo!
7. Despite my limited secret stash, we splirged and had macarroni and cheese for dinner.
8. As for the rest of my day.... I slept....
9. ....and slept....
10. ... and then slept some more.

Woo....the Korean hottie/dancing machine! Posted by Picasa

Highlights of my day...Friday September 16

1. Celebrated Chuseok (Korean Thanksgiving) with all the kindergarten students and so I wore a traditional Korean dress.... it was so beautiful.
2. Made claim after seeing 39 kindergartens dressed in beautiful traditional dresses and pants that Korean children have to be the most beautiful children I've EVER seen!
3. Made these traditional rice cakes (can't remember the name) with Wisdom class and surprised myself by eating some even after I saw how Joel got "creative" with making his ones!
4. Cause of the special holiday, I got some gifts from my kindergarten students. The best was the card that Wisdom Jinny wrote. It was simple but because I knew it took her a long time to write it, it meant alot to me. Thanks sweety!
5. Found out the gym is closed cause of the holidays and so tonight I wasn't able to train.
6. Got voted the worlds' worse fiance when I freaked out about misplacing a bracelet given to me by a male friend (Mook) but not concerning myself with wearing my engagement ring. "I know where my ring is,..it's on my toothbrush."... I don't think this comment amused him!

7. Went out with Tasha, Woo, and Paulo to MBar and didn't realize that Paulo would be our main source for entertainment.
8. Thought it funny to watch Je Min give Paulo the stare down and then have Tasha tried to convince Paulo not to punch him....got to love testosterone. It's effects seem to be universal.
9. Out of all the people that could have talked to us, the ugly white man and the ugly white woman had to be the ones to approach us. I love it when foreigners automatically approach me cause I'm white....Sarcastically speaking that is.
10. Watched in pure disbelief as my fiance Paulo shook his booty in front of EVERYONE on top of our table!!! The manager at the place totally loved Paulo...mind you, she loves all white men.

QUESTION OF THE DAY...
Do dogs think beyond the basic level of thought?

One of my favorite mini-Koreans... Kevin! Posted by Picasa

Highlights of My Day...Thursday September 15

1. Wisdom class and me totally freaked out when Kevin and his HUGE nasal passages sneezed a handful of blood and nose goop!
2. Took Kevin to the boy's bathroom to clean him up and accidentally walked in on Steve (co-worker) at the urinal.... opps!
3. Two hours later, Steve walked in on me in the girl's bathroom....it was a close call too. Kind of confused why weird situations like this always seem to happen to me.
4. Played "doctor" again with Wisdom during snack time and Jinny punctured my hand with a piece of lego.
5. Another 20-some missed phone calls from Je Min during my working hours.... another 20-some after school too!
6. Jimmy cried again in class and so I told picked him up, placed him outside the classroom and told him to come back in when he is done crying.... didn't realize that he'd stay out there for practically the whole class.
7. Drama 101 at school today between two co-workers.... thought it PATHETIC how one simple conversation between two people could be blown-up to be such a dramatic situation that included me running down the street to track down one of my co-workers. Seriously questioning who's more mature...my students or my co-workers. At least with my students, they forgive and forget and don't bully up on each other, which is the least I can say about certain someones!
8. Was embarrassed to find out that everyone around me at training could tell I had been listening to the same song over and over...and over. Didn't realize this till I changed the song and Minsoo said something.
9. Thought it funny when Paulo and Daewoo picked me up at training and Daewoo came running in the gym towards me. Unfortunately, Young Un didn't share in my humour.
10. Tonight's wedding prep period with Paulo consisted of Toronto real estate shopping online.

QUESTION OF THE DAY...
What would make you stop crying and smarten up?

Jimmy! You look much better when you're not crying! Posted by Picasa

Highlights of My Day...Wednesday September 14

1. Daewoo has finally discovered how to jump up onto my bed and what was the first thing he did...he peed! Thankfully for me, Paulo discovered this! Sorry big guy!
2. Finally got my mom's package after what seems like a million years of waiting! Macaroni and Cheese was definitely worth the wait though!
3. Jimmy cried, I'm not surprised, not impressed, and not looking forward to him crying again tomorrow. Let's try proposed solution #65!
4. Buddy-boy Je Min is turning into Stalker Je Min... counted over 25 missed phone calls from him. What's the emergency?! Doesn't he know "911"...opps we're in Korea, it's "119".
5. Had to deal with an overly-excited Betty in my Glory elementary class and so I had to keep everything at least 3ft away from her, including parts of my own body! This girl is like Daewoo, she just doesn't know when to stop.
6. Beginning to think I'm not really white when I found myself agreeing with two of my fellow Korean co-workers on an issue concerning "white people" (aka. foreigners). Then I considered who I hang out with and realized how very few white people I actually do associate with.
7. Tried to show that there was no hard feelings between me and this particular SLP student who I yelled at awhile back for being rude to me. I tried to play with her and so I spun her around on the chair. However, the chair spun too fast, it tipped over and she came crashing down. She totally milked the situation but now she probably thinks I meant to do it! Oh gosh!
8. Came home to a home-cooked Canadian style meal courtesy of my future wife... Paulo.
9. Spent the evening chillin' out with my two men.... Paulo and Daewoo.
10. Finally got back down to business... wedding business that is. Topic for tonight was colour scheme and centerpieces.

QUESTION OF THE DAY...
What behaviors would you classify as a stalker?

GOOD bye Patricia Posted by Picasa

Highlights of My Day...Tuesday September 13

1. Started my day by waking up from a nightmare where I had four boys and one of them died..... three out of the four of them are actual students of mine.
2. Freaked out when Wisdom Joel called me mom in class by accident cause in my morning dream he was one of my sons!
3. Was totally disgusted at the news I got about a current EX co-worker....what a disappointment.
4. Realized I never said good-bye to a former co-worker and so today when I had my morning coffee I gave a toast...."Here's to her; here's to me; here's to us being free. No more fake needy child, no more horny woman running wild!"
5. Am totally awaiting any retaliation from a certain someone...please, amuse me. I'm not daring you... just curious how you justify your actions and nasty attacking words.
6. Had Paulo attend my Dream class. After lunch I walked in on him reading them a story, it was such a beautiful sight... he's going to be a great dad.
7. Jimmy is up to TWO full days with no crying. He came close today but it ended in a stare down and him pouting.
8. Finally got my cell phone fixed and so I'm back to receiving Je Min's numerous Korean-only messages.... ya!
9. Took tonight off training to prove that I'm not a mean person like a certain "someone" said I was. Mind you what he doesn't know is I'll be waking up early to go running.
10. Agreed that Daewoo isn't exactly the brightest of dogs. Either he thinks being hit repeatedly on the noise is a game or he's incredibly lacking in intelligence!

QUESTION OF THE DAY...
Is it better to be open and brutally honest or polite and quiet about your true feelings?

QUOTE OF THE DAY...

Maybe she won't notice them eating gum..ha ha ha! Posted by Picasa

Highlights of My Day...Monday September 12

1. Arrived at school and got word that Patricia left... too many things to say so, no comment!
2. What a miracle...Jimmy didn't cry today in class!!!
3. Had coffee in the morning, so much for me trying to quit.
4. Played 'doctor' with Wisdom class during snack time and ended up with a bloody ear. Jinny stuck a lego in my ear and dug it in deep...ouch!
5. Thought it'd be funny to stir up some trouble and so I give my former Virgo students (Jules students still) gum before they went to class... she hates it when they eat in class.
6. Entered my elementary Peace class and thought it funny to shot off a mini firecracker to get their attention. It worked!!!
7. Brought my new Korean CD to school today and it was a HUGE hit with the female teachers... it's the soundtrack CD from the latest popular drama that starred a famous Korean hottie. Sadly though, the series ended last month.
8. Training continues with Daewoo. He's pretty much got "sit" down pack and so I moved on to "roll over".... it didn't quite work though. He thought I was trying to play and so he squirmed too much.
9. Was curious about Daewoo's treats cause he goes ape for them and so I tried one. I don't know what the hype is about. They really don't have any smell or taste for that matter. Funky texture though.
10. Thought it funny when I made Minsoo crack up at training and drop his weight. Thinking of it later, it could have been really dangerous cause he dropped 15lbs from 5ft in the air. Nah, it's still funny.

QUESTION OF THE DAY...
Are you now where and what you wanted to be when you were a child?
